About Advanced Vision Care
Advanced Vision Care provides the finest in vision care for people of all ages in the South Hills area. Our staff of eye doctors, assistants, and opticians can service all of your vision needs and are available 24/7 for emergency care. From retinal OCT technology to digital wave-front, high-tech, spectacle lenses, we have it all!
Dr. Lonny Harrison established this optometric practice in 1976 and has been at his current 681 McMurray Road location since 1997. This state-of-the-art facility and staff provides the latest in eye care technology, contact lens care and unique eyewear selection to our patients. We have four optometrists, three certified opticians and ten optometric assistants. The doctors are trained in refractive and medical care to the eye, including treatments for injuries, allergies, dry eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts.
Advanced Vision Care is a member of Vision Source, a network of more than 2000 private practice eye doctors dedicated to providing you and your family the best in eye health care. Keeping your eyes healthy and your vision the best it can be is the mission of each and every independent optometrist in the Vision Source network.

Optical Staff
The optical staff at AVC enjoys providing a great patient experience. They are well trained and qualified to answer many questions concerning examination procedures and testing, products, insurance and billing. They attend regular continuing education to keep up certification with the American Optometric Association Paraoptometric Section and the American Board of Opticians.
